Getting there
Corner Abbots Way and Grand Drive, Remuera
Large area with extensive grass and good paths for wet weather. There are wetlands in the centre of the reserve where the dogs are prohibited and if your dog is likely to chase the birds, you are asked to keep it leashed. A very popular and social spot. Has a swimming hole for dogs who enjoy the water.

Ziggy, my minature schnauzer, and I visit here often and would thoroughly recommend it. It is a great place for socialising your dog as there are plenty of people around with their canine friends. It takes approx 30 mins to walk around but it usually takes longer with all the canine encounters.

Best off-leash dog walk in Ak, and so conveniently located. Soooo much fun for sociable dogs. Keep them on-leash in the carpark tho, or lookout for fines! Its a 2.6km round-trip, but theres lots of different paths, so you can go pretty much as far as you like. My dog and I luvvit!
