Getting there
Take Ladies mile, onto Abbotts way. You will see the sign "Waiatarua Park" on the corner of Abbotts way and Grand Dr (after the BP station)

Description
Great walk with a cool water hole for the dogs to jump into, and a little forest walk and great big open spaces for dogs to romp. This is about a 5km circuit, good for strollers, joggers and bikes too. This is an off leash park, but be careful if your dog chases birds, as this is also a bird sanctury. Always lots of nice people and dogs regardless of time or day.

Best off-leash dog walk in Ak, and so conveniently located. Soooo much fun for sociable dogs. Keep them on-leash in the carpark tho, or lookout for fines! Its only 2.6km round-trip too btw, but theres lots of different paths, so you can go pretty much as far as you like
