Getting there
Entrance to Mt. Albert/Owairaka Park is at the end of Summit Drive (off Mt. Albert Rd).
NB. Vehicles: Gates open 7am and close at Sunset.
A fantastic spot for everyone. There are several fields to run around or throw/kick a ball as well as a few tracks to run along. The road loops around the mountain which offers amazing 360 degree of the Auckland region. There is also plenty of places to park. There are often other dogs running around looking for someone new to play with. You might even come across the occasional herd of cows! A few things to note is that you'll definitely need to bring along your own plastic bag (a few bins are provided), and one of the fields is occasionally used as a archery range (you might want to walk to the next field in this case!).

Excellent area, The part that is fenced off is big enough for larger dogs to do plenty of laps, and great for socialising, as it's such a popular park. So many owners bring dogs of all sizes, so plenty variety. Highly recommended.
